Last night, the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council held its 2024 TechNite, which we were proud to sponsor. As in previous years, the local tech community gathered to honor our region’s standouts in innovation. We congratulate the winners, all of whom we have been privileged to work with in some capacity. Fourd Kemper, leader of our Emerging Growth & Venture Capital team, said “This year’s outstanding group of winners demonstrate how dynamic and exciting the tech ecosystem is here in the Roanoke and New River Valleys. Thanks to incredible organizations like RBTC, RAMP, VWCC, FBRI, VTCRC and Verge and their cooperation and efforts, innovators in our region have a bright future.” Thank you to Roanoke - Blacksburg Technology Council and all of our colleagues and guests for a wonderful evening! Also in celebration, WRVB Principal Anne Bibeau was sworn in as the NPBA’s president and WRVB Principal Jennifer Eaton was appointed as secretary. The Walter E. Hoffman Community Service Award provides public recognition for outstanding service to the community by one of the NPBA’s younger members. Kate was selected for the honor based on her involvement in the James Kent American Inn of Court, her role as past chair of NPBA’s Young Lawyers Section, her volunteer support at the William & Mary Law School moot court competitions, and her service on the Bench-Bar and Bench-Bar Relations Committees.
